New Sculpture Park

On Acresfield there was a small copse of ash trees close to the pond area.  Our tree surgeon sadly announced recently that the trees were suffering from ash dieback and would have to be felled for health and safety reasons.

Having formed an integral part of our pond conservation area we were reluctant to lose these precious trees so rather than completely felling them we took the decision to retain as much of these valuable trees as possible and came up with our latest initiative.

A  local sculpture was commissioned with the brief to transform the remains into a wildlife park depicting the birds regular seen here.  Initial work has begun on the first tree and this depicts a family of owls. The next tree will depict a woodpecker, and so on.  This work compliments the numerous conservation awards which our Parks have been awarded in the past.
