Recently Park Home Energy Ltd approached us as they had secured funding from the local Council towards energy efficiency improvements with the homeowners making a small contribution.
There are a number of options available and these include underfloor insulation, new insulated roofs and the installation of solar panels with battery storage.
Here is a photograph of work which has been completed on another park. The photograph shows the solar panels and the fire-resistant battery storage container to the side.

As a business we have always promoted energy efficiency and we have recently signed off approval for the first group of homeowners to have this work carried out in 2024. We hope that more will follow. Most of us when we retire do so on index linked pensions whereas utility costs have increased far in excess of any index. This initiative should address this. To be self sufficient is something which we dream of but this desire is no longer unattainable.
Our new office complex and Acresfield Health Club and Spa were specifically designed to be energy efficient and have both attained an “A” rating. In fact the solar system on our offices not only powers the building itself but on average produces an excess of 125 units of electricity each day and this excess is used by the Health Club every day.
